Below is a short sample of text output of decoded ADSB messages from the mutability dump1090.

Unfortunately the mutability dump1090 is no longer maintained, however.
There are other programs that can be used to display the decoded data and some can display aircraft data on maps. One good one is FlightAware's fork of the mutability dump1090 (also free and open-source). They have greatly enhanced its capability and utility.

FlightAware's version, called dump1090-fi, even includes an HTTP server and mapping.
They offer installers for Raspbian (Raspberry Pi OS), macOS and FreeBSD. An example of FlightAware's mapped data display is shown below:
