The ADALM-Pluto by Analog Devices is a flexible SDR that can operate at much higher frequencies than the RTL-SDR and similar devices. It has both receive and transmit capability. Transmit is not currently enabled on the STEMLab's ADALM-Pluto device.

The Pluto is marketed as an evaluation board and dubbed by Analog Devices an "Active Learning Module", hence the "ADALM". The Pluto is meant to be learning tool for students and experimenters so Analog Devices has provided a lot available materials for it. These include manuals, labs and tutorials covering a wide range of topics.

  • Highest frequency: 3.8 GHz
  • Max receive bandwidth: up to 20 MHz
  • Transmit and Receive capable
  • Price: in the $300 range
